JBE winkfp no JBBF87, updating help
Hi,
2007 328 xi, wanting to update my jbe, however after downloading winkfp and e90 files from Bimmergeeks geeks I cannot find my specific jbe. ISTA tells me my module is jbbf87 how ever I can only find jbbf70 or jbbfr3 in winkfp, ISTA also does not show the jbe vin, so I’m not sure if this is even the original or correct jbe. Just looking for help. I’m wanting to update and change my vin in jbe, but don’t want to update the module until I can find the proper code jbbf87. The car is a mid 2007. Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated, I read one thread that seemed to indicate that I should just use the jbbfr3 selection in winkfp for my module. But that makes me nervous |

I checked my daten files and the part number 9134484 (your module part no. on inpa photo) is under JBBF81 group, so you should be fine if you select this group for flashing your module. To make sure you have the needed daten, go to your C:\EC-APPS\NFS\DATA\gdaten folder and open the HWNR.DA2 file using notepad. Then ctrl+f and lookup your modules part no (9134484 in your case) and see to which group your module belongs. |

i did manage to find my jbbf87 daten files, but its under e46. so that also makes me nervous. not sure if i should pick the e46 jbbf46 or use the e90 jbbf81. any chance inpa is reading the wrong part number off the module. |

You posted identification, does not show the software ZB number which are currently assigned to each module. You must post UIF not Identification for me to tell you the exact module you'd need to choose in winkfp

https://ibb.co/dbwkyG1 as well, having no VIN in the UIF im assuming this is not normal. this no in issue is why im wanting to update the module and program the vin into the module. im having communication problems on the pt can, so im thinking this may be related. so far i have done zero programing on the car, im not sure about the previous owner or history, but to my knowdlge i have done nothing that could have corrupted the JBE memory |

The JBBF module you must choose in Winkfp is JBBF81 per FindECU app. Just choose ecu and prog zb update and winkfp will choose the newest software to flash onto the module.
