Logic 7 help? - Left speakers fire up before right speakers
Hey guys,
I did some searches but could not find anybody referencing this issue, so I am just wondering if any of you have seen anything like it... When I start my car after it has been sitting for a long time, the audio I was playing last starts back up. The first speakers to start playing the audio are the front drivers side speakers. Then, after a few seconds (~5-10) the rest of the speakers kick on. Is this an amp problem? This issue is non-critical, because once the Logic7 system is powered up it sounds nice. However, if it gets any worse it will become a problem. As always, sharing of the infinite wisdom of the forum dwellers is greatly appreciated. |

Hows your battery ?
Check connections to amp. Run a scan with a BMW scanner Your Ibs system might be doing its voodoo if your battery is low. Read first pdf about ibs. electical e90 pdf http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j...,d.cGU&cad=rja http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j...85464276,d.cGU http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j...85464276,d.cGU |

HOOOLY smokes. I'm saving those PDFs onto every electronic device that I have. By the time that my car is 10 or 12 years old, I'll probably just print them out and use them as a pillow.
That's enough information to keep be busy for days! Thanks for the links! I will check the battery tomorrow and let you know what I find. A low battery would be the best problem to have. I was just looking to all the Logic7 amp issues and repair procedures/costs, and I want nothing to do with any of it |

Here's what I've found out:
Fault Codes: The car does not have any faults stored (I used a Bluetooth OBDII scanner, not a specialized BMW scanner). Amp Harness: The Logic 7 amp harness connector seems to be seated snugly. I intend to remove that connector and inspect for loose pins this weekend. The battery voltages are: Car off: 12.25V - 12.36V Under load (cranking the starter): 11.9V Car on: ~14.1V IBS: I do not like it, and I wish it weren't a thing. MOST BUS: When I saw my car had Logic 7, I was happy. Now that I know that comes with a proprietary optical communication interface, I am not happy. |

I guess I'll go ahead and replace the Y cable and then the 3.5 mm input if needed, hopefully that takes car of it If were a clever man, I would have tried different forms of media before entering panic mode about replacing a $1500 amp... but I'm not. Thanks for your assistance anyway. At least now I know the status of my amp connector and battery! |
