Is there anyway to code the door chime on the Bmwhat app? I would like to have the Bmw chime instead of ding ding ding.

Can anyone confirm this will work on a E90 2011 328i? Last time I downloaded the free version I didn't see the 328i listed and didn't want to pay to upgrade to the full version without knowing it would be compatible. Thanks

I suggest confirming definitively with the developer. I contacted them on a Sunday morning (on a different issue) and got a response Sunday night. That said...

I had the same concern for my E90 07 328i. Using the free version, I was able read fault codes two ways, by selection 325i and by the "auto detection " choice. Both gave me the same reads. So I took a chance and went ahead and bought the full version as I had a problem to solve. The paid version was able to read and clear fault codes. I have not tried coding anything yet; waiting for a cable.

My wife and I both have 2011 328i's and the app works flawlessly. I selected the 335i as the model since they are pretty much the same car with the exception of the engine, headlights (hid vs halogen) and maybe a few other items. Not a big deal.

Both cars are complete coded with what we want and have not had a problem at all.

GO FORTH & PURCHASE!

Yep this App works .. I confirmed it on my 07 328.. Coded my Angel eyes first but did not see any difference..But i expected that already after reading other post about the angel eyes coding. But the main reason i got the APP and the cable was so i could register my Battery.. Which at the dealer are the indy shop charges about $160 just to do so.
Edit: Angel eyes do work...When I turn on my headlights the rings do not dem.

I've been able to do mirrors, corner delete, speedometer, seat belt chime, etc. But no luck on the top with the FOB. Right now, the windows just raise and lower. Is there a group of settings that need to be set right to make it happen?

Thanks!
What did you do to the Seat belt chime? and where is it located on the Bmwhat App?

Have you registered a battery with this app? Where did you find it within the app?

Can't Register the Battery yet because there still working on that to add to the Bmwhat app.. But you can locate the battery app in the (in apps) section on the Bmwhat app. Click home in then scroll to the botton of the list and you will see (in apps). This will show you everything that is coming out next.

Curious if we'll be able to actually code a new battery, like lead acid to AGM of a different amp hour rating. Registration I think is just like clearing the adaptations.

Just orderd my wifi adaptor for iphone. Hopefully this will work as well as it sounds. I had some success with ncsexpert but it is kinda a pain if you don't know it really well.

I would love to use this to code a few things, but I don't have the wifi cable to test it with the "lite" app.

Can anyone confirm that this app would allow me to code out the corner lights, and add the mirrors and windows up with the fob, etc?
Yep it certainly would. I was able to do this on my 330xi 2006. I bought this:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/251473129153...S:3160&vxp=mtr

and one of these:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/USB-2-0-Micr...E:L:OC:US:3160

Then just bought the full version of BMWhat for Android and away I went coding.

I mainly wanted the corner light delete for the sidelights so my halo's were the only lights on. I was also able to code lots of other things but the main one I actually use is holding the lock button to fold the mirrors (and put up all the windows and close sunroof) and hold it to unlock and roll down all windows and sunroof.

Oh and I turned off the seatbelt chime too, that was handy! Let me know if you get stuck and I'll gladly help out - about time I returned something back to this forum :-)
I have a 330i 2006 and I want to code a couple of thing you think it's going to work on my ?

Compatibility is clearly noted at the developer's site. Your phone will require a USB connection and an Android device, rather than Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, but it will work.

Did nobody else have a problem ordering from this German website? It won't take my address in US format of house number before street.

you can't code with FREE version. Coding only available in the purchased app version.

yea the $50 dollar version. Just do it, its worth it

edit: making the AE brighter scare me a tad... even though I have fully custom LED lights, it just cant be good

double edit: If anyone has questions PM me, Ive had this app from the beginning and can trouble shoot it pretty well. If youre having problems connecting with the ELM fear not, the iPhone connection just sucks sometimes

I tested the free android app with my $18 ebay cable and $3 OTG cable on my 2007 328xi. Was able to pull several ECUs and see many options to code, however as has already been mentioned, the free app doesn't actually enable the coding. I was able to read and log all errors. sent them in to the app admins via email and got a report back the next day telling me what was going on with the car. Mostly just stored faults from bulbs being out in the past, etc.

I will most likely buy this app, however I was hoping to hold out and ensure battery registration was going to be included. As I posted previously, the app admin did reply to my e-mail asking if battery coding was available, and he said it was coming at some point, but I don't really know how long my battery is going to hold out. Anyway, I was able to see many options under the free version for things in the FRM module, which I may need if I swap my headlights out for some with AEs and want to enable them as DRL. I also want to code the digital speedo readout and whatever else looks useful.
