For Gary @ Tirerack - our resident tire guru (and other experts)

Hi Gary, trying this again, don't think my iPhone app allowed me to send an IM...

Besides myself, I have two buddies with similar setup so we need collective advice. Anyway, I/we need to change the OEM Bridgestones RFT 225/35 (F) and 255/30(R) both XL; I (only me) also have 18mm rear and 15 front spacers. How wide can we go without rolling my fenders - too much to go with 235 front and 265 rear? Want to improve stance and stability. I like the Michelins Super Sports but I'm open to other viable excellent tires...we all live in FL!

Can you please suggest best tires and sizes given the desired setup?

Thanks,
No_curebimmer

You didn't tell any wheel specs? Width and offsets?

235/40R18 and 255/35R18 fit the original wheels and clear with no problem. I can't speak for the spacer situation, but without the spacers this setup would fine on the OE wheels.

Thanks to all for the responses...

I'm currently out of the continent so I can't check the actual wheel specs (but it's the 19" OEM 313 style could someone else can chime in if they know?).

Also Gary, it could be my domain/ISP her in Sweden, but when I click on your provided link I see Michelins Primacy green/easy rolling/fuel savings tires and nothing high performance ones like Super Sports or Advans...

Could you please revise your recommendation?

Thanks again all!

If you're running 313s (19x8 ET37/19x9 ET39), you can fit a 235/35/19 front and 265/30/19 rear on them, however after spacers you potentially may need to do some fender work. The Bridgestones you have now aren't known for being particularly wide, while the Michelin Pilot Super Sports you're considering run fatter than most tires.

After spacers, both front and rear wheels would stick out further than what we typically recommend. I don't think you would have a lot of issues in the rear. The front would be a little bit more concerning.
