** SOLD ** Switch Unit Steering Column
For sale is a OEM Switch Unit Steering Column (61319123049). I bought this because my DSC Error was going off and I was going to swap to try and clear the code which ended up going away after I got my alignment done so I have this extra steering column unit which never got installed in my car and works perfectly. This unit retails for around $600 plus tax from BMW. Buyer pays shipping and Paypal fees but local pick-up would be best.
PRICE: SOLD -Might be willing to trade for COBB + cash but we will see. http://parts.bmwofsouthatlanta.com/p...319123049.html http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...61&fg=35&hl=55 Manufacturer Part Number: 61319123049 Interchange Part Number: 61316958297; 61316962449; 61316962676; 61316965290; 61316989580; 61319110887; 61319121901 For vehicles with M Drive = No (S2MDA = No) Multifunction f steering wheel = No (S249A = No) Multifunction f steering wheel = Yes (S249A = Yes) and Rain sensor = Yes (S521A = Yes) Rep. kit visual components for SZL ***** Cruise control = No (S540A = No) IMPORTANT! ... or a cruise control stalk that sticks Mine stuck and I had the dealer replace it under warranty. It was crazy - if you used it to accelerate, it would stick and just floor the car like in those American news reports. Of course, I realised that I have a brake, and it generally prevented me from hitting things and running over people and suing everyone.
On a more relevant note, I wonder if you NEED to reprogram your SZL, though, when you replace this - in my case he said he HAD to do it, but it might have been because he didn't have a way of recalibrating the steering angle sensor, which can be done at your friendly local alignment shop.

Like I said, I never had to replace this unit in my car because when I got the alignment the DSC light error went away, but I too was told that either the alignment shop, or BMW would have to reprogram the unit to the car if I was to swap them out. Want an extra unit just in case? haha |

Haha nah thanks but these things are ridiculously expensive. Someone will buy it for sure. It's one of those things you completely don't need... until you need it and then it's like OMG I WILL PAY ANY MONEY (except retail). Just wait
