non-xenon lights to get "Angel-Eyes"

Quote:
Not major news but to all those not wanting to pay the premium for xenons (xenons are worth every penny by-the-way), we have some good news for you.

We have finally learned that all of the headlights, including the halogens will include the new and improved halos, fondly referred to as “angel eyes”. These will function as the Daytime Running Lights in place of the current use of the high beams. This is similar to the upgrade the LCI E60 5er received.

Looking forward to see this update.

Before i always used to think all i want is the angel eye headlights, didn't matter if it had xenons. But now, i think the xenons are a must have, especially when it comes with the adaptive feature and the sporty look it gives the car.

Yea but on the e60s the low beam was a projector....in this picture the low beam is still the old reflector so the halo around the outter low beam will be huge...perhaps they are making the reflector smaller? not sure if that looks good but hopefully the new ones will fit on our current e90s. these still look 100X better than the current ones so hopefully they dont change the shape of the headlights so they will fit. prolly error free on our halogens.

Or their finally going to wise up and use a halogen projector that can also be used in the xenons. Thus have a more streamlined production and lower costs of parts so they dont have to stock 2 different styles of headlights for several lines of cars.

Projectors just provide a better beam no matter what the output of light. I had projector halogens in my last car and they we the best. The beam pattern in normal lights looks shitty and isn't nearly as concentrated or bright. Plus if a Mazda 3 can have projector halogens then a BMW 3er should too.

Yea totally agree. I def. think that they are in projectors. However hopefully they are good projectors....im not sure about your last comment i had a 07 camry loaner for my lexus during service. and as many of you know, it has projectors...output was really dissapointing.. i say group buy on 2009 OEM US headlights from tischer or something for all halogen owners! that is if they will fit
