Battery question - E92 LCI 335D

First post with a question

If I disconnect the battery for a couple of months, will I have problems when I reconnect

Will I need to re code or whatever

I would leave it in and put it on a trickle charger like you would do for winter storage. Disconnecting it will require recode IE dealer I believe.

or get some diagnostic equipment that will let you recode it,,and you will have it for future probs,,carly/foxwell/inpa etc

Thanks, but not an option as no power point in place were the car will be stored

would be interesting to hear from someone who has disconnected the Battery

what do people do when they are working on the car as in some cases it is advisable to disconnect the Battery for safety reasons

yeh i was thinking that,,surely the ecu stores the battery coding etc..and the battery will be charged like the one taken off,,which coding alters

I know after disconnecting the battery for about 15 mins, the only thing that changed was that the clock and date needed setting again.

I have also left a different car parked for 2 months without disconnecting the battery and noticed the charge level dropped, but no settings had changed.
