I tried the qc15s once when American Airlines let me use them on one of their flights. I've never done an a/b comparison, but I'd say they are similar. Before purchasing these I watched YouTube videos and read the reviews comparing them.
The audio technicas have three cancelling modes depending on your environment, they work when they are off, and it has a inline mic/remote. Those are benefits over the Bose qc15s. Check the link to Amazon to read the reviews. Some of the reviewers compared it to other noise cancelling headphones, including the various Bose models. that's the disadvantage that i have since that's what I grew up with my dad getting throughout the years, then came B&W, klipsch more on home entertainment, when it came to my DJing high school, I stuck to one pioneer headphone and old school sony headphones, other than that, I couldn't justify spending more money on headphones I wasn't sure of, beats was the worst money i spent on for headphones
