I don't think it will much, if at all, either. But it's good to have your winter wheels on for the low temps at night.

I'm reading (and hearing from alot of people) that you shouldnt be driving snow tires (especially the Blizzak WS70's that I just bought) in temperatures above 40 degrees apparently. May just have to carpool with my mom when the temps. are this high.

I'm in Calgary and we normally have winter by halloween. This year, we have only ever had one cold snap of -25 C (-13 F) when it is usually frequents -30 C (-22 F).

We normally have a lot of snow. Chinook winds come by and give us little breaks. But this year, it was 14 C in January the other day (57 F). That is UNHEARD of. My winters will go on soon. I have never waited this long before!

I have style 159 for winter (17") and style 287 (18" staggered) for summer.

Since the rubber is so soft (almost like velcro) the tread life will wear out extremely quickly when driving in higher temperatures. They also recommend not to drive or corner very fast in these higher temperatures for the exact same reason.

Ah I see. I was considering getting snows in place of my all-seasons, but I guess the weather doesn't allow for it right now.

Very cool!!! Going to feel great on the track. It was 65 in SJ today, took the MB out. The winters on the bimmer did not like the warm weather at all...

So, I'm gonna bump this: I just got out in this snow with my LM-60s and I gotta say, I'm blown away. I felt so confident on the road it was unbelievable. I'd be hesitant to go out if there was a lot of ice under the snow or if there was more than 6 inches on the ground, but it was actually a lot of fun. I think I'll go find some empty parking lots later.

Nice... The light snow shouldn't be TOO bad on your RWD with snow tires.

I was doing great with my all-seasons and XI, but I think my camber is throwing off my traction

I drove around last night with blizzaks on and I have to say HOLY Shi7! It was as though there was no snow... slight over steer but totally controllable even without DCT. Truly amazing how the car handles the way it does on snow.

All i know is RWD and summer tires and winter is a very bad combination- I experienced that the other night. Car's braking is heavily impacted, may not even stop if icy enough, and if there is a hill thats even icy you will not make it up the hill. Summer tires are truly scary in the snow, never again in my life, rather stay home and take care of some housework.

I have had an audi for 3 years, and winter tires on last year on my bmw and the increase in safety (braking and handling) even with a RWD, that winter tires provide cant be addressed enough. I threw the winters out in the spring because they were full of bubbles, and just didn't get around to putting winters on this year, still don't know why.
