Lightbulb Replacing ABS DSC hydro pump

Hi,

My ABS/DSC hydro pump failed about 12 months ago.

MOT has come up and I need to replace it (Ive kinda got used to driving it without any electronic aids however) as its a fail (all 3 warning lights on).

Im going to go for the used pump and switch the control modules option.

My pump part number is 3451 6776068 01 “6776068”

I can only find a couple with the same number and they are really expensive, £350 upwards.

Can I drop in a pump with a different part number and pop my control module onto it?

I have found one P/N: 6776056

Any help would be appreciated

Hello,

I had the same problem on my 135i.

I suspect it was the stuck brush problem inside the pump.

I sent the ABS/DSC unit to an ABS repair company, i paid something like 450 EUR with a 12 months guarantee, no coding needed, and it tooks like 10 days in total to send it and get it back.

I couldn't drive the car without the ABS/DSC unit, when i got back the unit, i reinstalled it, and drove the car very slowly using the handbrake to a shop to make a full brake liquid flushing with the ABS procedure (you can do it with INPA).

The procedure costed me something like 100EUR.

Good luck

Update on this, I purchased a ABS motor repair kit off ebay for £30. Took me a day and was quite complicated but I fixed the pump myself

Replaced the bushes in the motor.
