Introducing an exciting super easy way to seal your car - Sonax Spray and Seal

We are excited to tell you that we have tested out Sonax Spray and Seal and we are loving it. We have found Spray and Seal to be a great product to add to your routine maintenance. We have used gallons of the product in our rigorous testing and this has proven to be an easy to use product with great gloss and durability of up to 3 months. The water beading behavior is much like Sonax Polymer Net Shield, which we believe to be one of the best beading products in the industry. Spray and Seal has a a great just waxed feel to it, missing in the Polymer Net Shield and Brilliant Shine Detailer. Spray and Seal can be used to boost your coated, sealed, or waxed vehicles. This can also be used as a stand alone product as well. We recommend everyone to give this one a go.

What Sonax says:

SONAX Spray and Seal - Instant Shine Coating is a great compliment to any car enthusiasts' product arsenal. The easy-to-use formulation incorporates a unique Hybrid Polymer Technology that provides up to 3 months protection and generates excellent hydrophobic properties. After the car is washed and while it is still wet, simply spray entire car with the product and rinse. Completely dry all areas affected with a clean microfiber towel.

Direction for use:
- Wash vehicle and rinse thoroughly
- Shake bottle before use and turn the nozzle to open.
- Evenly spray the sealant on the wet vehicle (approx 4-6 sprays per 4 ft section).
- Rinse immediately with plenty of clean water and dry the vehicle.
- Dry the vehicle - Remove any leftover remnants with a microfiber towel.

Product Attributes:
- Spray on, rinse off - and it's sealed!
- Quick and easy during the car wash
- Enhances the color depth and provides a mirror like shine
- Impressive water and dirt repellent effect in no time at all
- works on cars with out any protection
- works on cars with sealant and waxes
- works on cars with ceramic coating
- works on cars with paint protection film

Please Note:
Do not use on hot surfaces. Do not apply in direct sunlight. Do not allow to dry. Always give special attention to the seams of the vehicle while rinsing product thoroughly.

Is it not kind of strange that you apply it to a wet vehicle? That just seems weird to me.

How many cars can you do with one bottle do you think? Looks like maybe 2 cars per bottle based on the video and how generously it was applied?

Seems simple enough, may be worth a shot.

So, another silica spray like McKees 37 Hydro Blue or CarPro Hydro2? Looks like you are laying it on very heavy?

I would concur with this assessment. You are not going to get high deflection beading like say, Gtechnic or Opticoat, but you are going to get decent protection with a LOT less effort. Durability is kinda ok and 3mo is a decent estimate before you start seeing pooling (or less sheeting). But for the amount of effort you put into it, it really isn't a big deal. I would compare some old products like Permanon (which I used to love...and there is some correlation here), but not quite as buttery to the touch -- but to be fair, you premixed Permanon to your concentration liking (and you would have to buy a garden atomizer vs Sonax's can solution).

As a sacrificial layer, it's wondrous though. Keep in mind, it's all about the paint/clearcoat prep beforehand that makes a difference.

Sonax Spray and Seal being used to maintain a ceramic coated vehicle.

Using Sonax Spray and Seal for maintenance on a coated Lamborghini Huracan

This Lamborghini Huracan was coated about 6 months ago with a ceramic coating, we wanted to test out the ability of the Sonax Spray and Seal and the effects of it over the coating. We are happy to report that it worked extremely well. Sonax Spray and Seal was compatible and showed no issues or side effects with the ceramic coating. We would recommend it as a maintenance product over your cars protected with ceramic coating.
