I'm Stumped! Pass Restraint Manfunction, No Horn and No multi Steering funtion
Hey guys! I'm completely stumped now. So awhile back my pass restraint malfunction warning came on along with horn not working and multi function button on steering wheel just completely stopped working. After countless weeks of looking on here and internet, I did see a post where a guy was having the same issue on his 5 series and the culprit was in the clock spring, some guy took that apart and inside was a ripped ribbon cable. He soldered it back together and everything was working fine. I followed his steps and took everything apart and the ribbon was fully intact. I cleaned the contact points and put everything back together. I made sure the connections were in there correct and still is not fixed. Anyone else have this problem and have a DIY fix? Really trying to avoid buying a new part as they're expensive as hell.
FYI: My signals works, radio works, hvac works. Just those 3 is not working so I don't think it's the junction box that's bad (I think that controls all these things...I could be wrong) For reference, these are the codes I'm getting 93B4 ACSM: Driver's airbag, stage 2 93A8 ACSM: Driver's Airbag, stage 1 A6CF JBE: AUC sensor Also, getting these and have no idea what to do: So far have replaced, injectors, coils, plugs, O2 sensors, o2 sensor wiring. 29F3 . DME: Fuel Low-Pressure sensor, Electric 2c32 DME: Lambda Control 2 2C6C DMW: Oxygen sensor 2 after catalytic converter: System check Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I would grab a clock spring on eBay for about $50 and just replace it. Also did you make sure the airbag connectors are in all the way?
If you just got the car used you may have a fake airbag installed. Was the car flooded? The Airbag module is pretty low on the car. |
