Well, I'll tell you this...the DIY is so good that it makes me want to install it just to install it--just so I can take it off. Oh, and I'm sure if the newer Ferraris had turbos then there would people installing BOVs on that as well. Just not my style.

Just do it yourself, learn something... it's not hard, HyperM3 made everything clear as can be...he even tells you where the screws are... you want him to come over and hold your hand while you do it or something? LOL

Ok, as I posted on another thread about this. I received two new springs today. One was another 11lb spring and the second was a 9lb spring. The new 11lb spring was identical to the one that came with my TIAL. The 9lb spring was visibly about 1/2 inch shorter and easier to compress(makes sense).
I put the 9lb spring in and its working perfectly. Not only is it still hitting peak boost at 13+lbs, but its feeling solid in its accelleration(no missteps). Even holding good pressure with tiny PSHH PSHH at 2-5lbs of boost. Idle is still even at OEM with around -08.9lbs vacuum. Overall Im very happy now with the kit. Darryl at UR was extremely professional and couldnt have asked for better customer service(ok well maybe overnight shipping for the springs). He was responsive to all my emails and wanted to make this work as much as I did. Ill hopefully get some soundclips up soon. Oh, in the process of putting it in(again for the 3rd time) I was playing with the OEM BOV's(like an idiot) and inadvertantly broke the vacuum nipple off of one of them. So looks like I cant even go back to stock now if I needed to.

SEARCH... its a "noise issue". Why even look into doing this mod if you view the sound as being an issue.

my question is not about bov diy or buying, i dont plan on buying one, if i do want one i wana do it myself BUT.. 1 thing i dont get... maybe for BMW its different but isnt the BOV just a small little tube or valve thing that hooks on to the some pipe? what the hell is allll that he intalled, tail pipe? or whatver? lol i dont mean to sound like a total dumbass but when my friend got his gti he didnt install all this stuff.. uhh again i dont mean to sound lke a dumass lol i just wana know what all that stuff was he installed, i thought it was just a small little thing you hook on. thanks

Used this DIY to install my ER chargepipe with Synapse BOV... worked like a charm.
