Bought M3 Replica Wheels need TPMS's
Hey,
I just bought a set of 17" M3 replica wheels for my -08 335i E90 and I need to get TPMS's for these. Do i need some sort of adapters or will the "normal ones" work? Thanks! |

The general rule is that the OE TPMS will work but since we don't know who made your replica wheels (or how close they are to OE) we can't make a definitive statement.

The OE sensors should swap right over but there is a possibility that the wheel you currently have may be different and a adapter of some sort may be needed.

unless you use them as a second set of wheels, your originals can be installed on your new wheels. You may need a new set of valves. However, in case you should need new TPMS sensors get them from TireRack. Gary at TireRack is your man, I think he has them in stock. I recommend you have BMW mount your tires, tire shops seam not to take the same care unless you know the folks there. I had some bad experiences a tire shop bend one of my wheels. So I only let the work being done at BMW. Just a tip for you my friend.

Thank you guys!
This will be my winter set once I get them mounted. I already bought a set of studded winter tires from Gary a while ago. I also purchased another set of tpms with the normal valves.. We'll see how it goes. |

I had my winter tires mounted to ///M3 replica wheels and balanced at my BMW dealership then mounted onto my Z4 (you find pictures of my winter wheels in my photo album, see below in the Winter Set Up Album). Once I get my None RFT they will also mount them to my stock OEM 19 inch summer wheels.
