Vacuum leak testing - brake vacuum Pump to Booster

Hi All,
Pretty sure I've got a small vacuum leak along the brake vacuum hose because the brake gets quite hard when braking while parking in a car park, I've done a quick test where I put the car in neutral while also holding the brake pedal and when I rev a little but the brake pedal sinks, there's no brake issues I have while driving jormally so Id assume there's a small vacuum leak and at idle it can't pull from the brake booster quick enough.

So... I've seen some chaps do a vacuum leaks using a vape but I'm just wondering what lines I'd need to close off, I'd remove from the brake booster but can it escape anywhere else? I know one of the vacuum lines goes to the EGR, another to the swirl flaps and I'm not sure of the other?.. Engine mounts maybe?

Is this something that you've recently noticed? As there are times when my brake pedal is firmer or the pedal moves further, has always been that way.
I think I read a thread about it & its 'normal' but can't recollect the reason why.

No its been happening for some time now, and it's so scary! If I'm in a car park and I have to do a couple of stops whole manoeuvring the car will only slow down (come to a rolling stop) which is exactly what it was like when I had a vacuum leak from a slit in the hose pipe directly off the vacuum pump.

I'll give it a try tomorrow, I'm thinking it may be better to blow smoke into that same rubber hose just off of the vacuum pump because I know the brake booster has a stop check valve which prevents are going into the brake booster but allows air to be sucked so I know right back to the brake booster it will be closed off.

Had a go today and there's nothing wrong vacuum wise, I removed the rubber hose from the brake vacuum pump and blew vapour in and no smoke, I removed the EGR vacuum pipe and then I could see vapour coming out of it when I blew through so I knew for definite it was working. I then tried blowing from the brake booster side but again nothing, so I'm not too sure now.
