$5 car wash anyone?

So I pulled into the grocery store parking lot this morning and began circling around looking for the perfect space (yeah--like I'm the only one)

I noticed as I was driving around that there were young kids that worked for some car washing business asking people if they wanted a car wash. I was approached as soon as I opened my car door. They each had a little pull cart with them that had what looked like a bath towel and a couple of spray bottles of some kind of chemical. When asked if I wanted a car wash...I politely declined, but thought to myself that I wouldn't in a MILLION years let one of them attempt to wash my car. As I walked away I felt sick thinking about what my paint would look like after one of those washes.

At one of my local mall's parking garages they actually set aside 10 spots that you can only park in if you want a dirty, second rate car wash.

Montgomery, actually. I haven't been to Tysons in a while. I know I wouldn't trust my car to a parking garage car wash, let alone a Phantom.

Never, ever would I let kids wash one of my cars. I would, however, be MORE than willing to give them the money anyway. Car washing skills aside, the kids are still out there trying to raise money and do something good. Better than sitting at home playing Halo all day. Worth the 5 bucks, in my opinion.

In that case, I'd have to go find a buddy's crappy car.

Reminds me of this joke...

Be careful when shopping at Home Depot. This is a "heads up" for men who may be regular Home Depot customers like me.

Over the last month I became a victim of a clever scam while out shopping. Simply going out to get supplies has turned out to be quite traumatic. Don't be naïve enough to think it couldn't happen to you, or to your friends.

Here's how the scam works:

Two very hot 20 something girls come over to your car or truck in the parking lot as you are unloading your shopping cart into your trunk or the bed of your pickup truck. They both start wiping your windshield with a rag and Windex, with their breasts almost falling out of their skimpy T-shirts. It is impossible not to look.

When you thank them and offer them a tip, they say, "No", and instead they ask you for a ride to another Home Depot. Of course you agree, and they get in the backseat. On the way, they start undressing in your car or the cab of your truck. Then one of them climbs over into the front seat and starts performing oral sex on you, while the other one steals your wallet.

I had my wallet stolen on September 4th, 9th, 10th, twice on the 11th, 12th, 19th, 20th, and 30th. Also on October 1st and 4th, twice on the 8th, 16th, three times this Saturday and very likely again this week.

So tell your friends to be careful.

P.S. Wal Mart has wallets on sale for $1.99 each

You can probably give them $5 to wash your wheels.
