They might look similar but many parts can have subtle differences. I'd buy the part that realoem lists for your car.

Different inlet diameter size on Intercooler on 330d and 335d that's why different part no's

They are different hoses for that reason.

Just make sure both sides of the pipe are clipped into the intercooler when you come to fit it.

Last thing you want is the pipe blowing off when going up a steep hill - I would know

Hiya mate, do you know what size jubilee clips you used to fit this boost pipe? I seen on another thread somewhere that you recommended to use additional clips...

Not an issue, I will do exactly that. I've ordered all the other components i.e. red pipe and the seal between the metal pipe and the turbo. Hopefully this should solve my leaks!!!

Thank you.

I used this one.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Genuine-M...#38;rsta=en_GB(en_GB)&cust=6YC29180C9115533V&unptid=114c8270-5f2f-11e8-abda-441ea147ad04&cal=c8fd33d412964&calc=c8fd33d412964& calf=c8fd33d412964&unp_tpcid=email-receipt-auction-payment&page=main:email&pgrp=main:email&e=op&mchn= em&s=ci&mail=sys

So far so good 6months later.

The reinforced hose I got of eBay also seems very good quality.

Thank you, Sensible. Thankfully, since my last post I ordered a couple more or less identical to that size so now I am confident they will fit.

I also ordered the same pipe which was linked in another thread. I think it was you or rasa? Either way, thanks to both for the valuable information!!

3rd one? Over what time period? Do you think it could be another underlying issue rather than this pipe?

In my view, there really shouldn't be much oil in this pipe anyway! Although I have changed mine, I think the bigger issue is the amount of oil getting to this section - I have fears it could be my turbo seals/bearings passing oil and therefore probably in need of a rebuild and/or the crankcase breather is allowing too much oil into the air intake. I think the latter is the most probable cause due to the poor separation of air/oil in the E90s.

its oil vapour..ie atomised oil,,its highly pressurised and finds its way through any slight defect in seals etc,,the seals have to be slightly oiled to slip in,although i have read they have to be put in dry,,so conflicting info.
