Rod doesn't hurt transmissions, he hurts your cheeks from the smiles you'll have plastered on your face. It basically feels like you're no lift shifter a slipper clutch, if that makes sense. It's smooth, and the power doesn't actually stop while shifting. |

I was finally able to try out some 1-2 and 2-3 wot shifts with Rod's flash. Somehow there is no noticeable gap in power delivery. I was on stage 3 xhp before. The car will be quicker but will need some drier roads for actual numbers.

Only way to fix this is find a post 03/07 TCU and change it out with yours. It's been done without issues. |

hey can you elaborate a bit more about changing the tcu ? who does the coding ?i didnt find any info online about switching it but i heard it can be done. Is it located in the transmission ? i remember some older bmw models had it behind the glove box.

Manual was an option, which was also a 6 speed. DCT in non M cars was only offered in the 335is. DCT means dual clutch transmission. It's basically manual that is shifted "automatically", no clutch pedal. |

Correction; DCT was offered in normal 335i cars, but only in Europe and Australia I believe.

I've had a Rod's personal trans tune on my car for over 2 months now. Thing is damn flawless. If anything the shifts are so fast that I cant just blast a single gear in one go unless I REALLY FLOOR it. Just the D mode alone is worth it for me.

I see on his website he states using a cable or the thor adapter. Would the orange MDH wifi adapter work as well? Glad I came across this thread. I was planning on going xph stage 3 before summer. This sounds even better.

Yes, the orange mhd adapter works. That's what I used.

The last time I flashed my transmission with xHP, I had to use the cable because it would not detect the MHD adapter I have. Did they change something with xHP so that now the orange adapters will work??

It worked for me since the initial release date of the mhd adapter. Maybe try connecting to mhd, like read error codes, then connect to xhp.
