i've bought a bilstein b12 pro kit for my e90 330d ,going to replace front and rear shock mounts as well.
there seems to be 2 different top mounts for the front, one for standard suspension and one for m sport, i can't see that there would be a difference buy meyle list them as two different part numbers ,anyone know why ?

Could be because lowering the car alters the camber and so the two top mounts geomatry is slightly different to maintain the correct camber, where an msport is lower than SE??? If that makes sense?

maybe , i found some lemforder mounts and they say fits m and normal suspension so i just ordered them.

Sport and non-sport top mounts are different; the sport ones are about 5mm less tall, and generally are steel rather than aluminium in the main body.

My 330d with non-sport suspension uses the sport top mount, but with a spacer to compensate for the difference in stack height.

I would go for mounts for sport only, if I were you. I've made that mistake in the past.

i don't know which ones i have ordered then ,the ones i bought are lemforder 31211 01 and look steel in the picture but i don't have them yet.
i would rather have the sport ones but they didn't seem to specify.

Yep, those are the sport mounts

Check the lemforder cat if you like. Search is at the bottom left:
