Little turbo, no boost?
I stepped away from driving my 335d on a daily basis with this whole COVID thing, and the last time I drove it I noticed a distinct lack of torque below 3500rpm, almost like the little turbo isn't building boost. I logged road speed, engine speed, and before-correction boost pressure in iCarly but I'll be damned if I can figure out how to get to the log (anyone know how?). What are some things to look for? All vacuum lines are new, less than 10k miles. No codes, even stored/ghost codes. Everything looks perfect, no signs of boost leaks, oil leaks, etc. I'm not sure where to look next. Any ideas are appreciated!

lp turbo no boost
I had the same problem after i did egr race pipe. i did the job in the dark and left a vac line that comes off a harness disconnected. i plugged it later and now its a rocket again. so maybe check your lines in the vicinity of the egr cooler for leaks because its vital for small turbo actuator.
Definitely switch to silicone hoses asap. |
