M57 Motor Mounts

So I've read a couple of threads and articles about motor mounts but I am wondering what are you guys using or have used and your experience with it. I've set my sights on the Black Forest Industries Stage 2 (EBFI269E9F3S2) since I couldn't find any Turner Performance motor mounts that work with the 335d.

What are your guys experience with aftermarket motor mounts?

This 335d is also a daily and will be tuned in the following weeks, just waiting for parts to arrive. So I do not want too much (NVH).

I bought the original replacement mounts from fcpeuro. That way I'll get free replacements next time they go bad.

You can put non- vacuum mounts, but no one recommends it due to the vibration of the diesel, so basically ^^^ This is overwhelming consensus ^^^

No upgrades worth it. You are basically stuck with OEM mounts for a daily driver as everyone has told you. More solid mounts are only going to cause more vibration and increase NVH.

I took my car to a local shot and they want to drop subframe to install both mounts which are bad - like $500. Anyone has any advice on this?

if you notice your engine rocking back and forth a lot then it might be time to replace mounts. that labor is about right.

Every shop is different in terms of book time and pricing.

Went with OEM and all turned out just perfectly. Yes, the tech had to slightly drop the subframe, very routine and fairly easy / straight forward work. Can't recall what i paid but $500 is not bad!
