I too am interested in your setup. This is probably the best FOV I've seen.

What do you guys think of this setup? Says it's for ps5. My basement mancave is in progress and I've been on the hunt for a sim setup. Thanks

Also saw some earlier posts talking about inverted pedals so I might just have to build this out myself. |

Off the top of my head. Pedals about $400. Wheel and base about $700. Trak Racer rig about $1000. Monitor is probably $300ish. So you are right around brand new pricing. Id say $2k even would be fair. The TR rig is decent but profile rigs are better. That DD pro is usually out of stock unless you buy a bundle.

Rigid, adjustability, options for accessories, can literally build it how you want

As mentioned, profile rigs are more rigid and it does matter. The tubular style rigs lack adjustability in some areas depending on brand. Usually you get flex in the pedal plates and wheel base mounting. They can also be noisey/creek/rattle. Profile rigs you can expand on and literally do anything you want, its like an adult metal lego. Zero flex at all when buying the right components. I originally went with a Tubular style Trak Racer rig, it was decent for a starter setup. But for a little more money I could have just went profile and saved the hassle. I have a SimLab P1X now and it really does not get any better than that.

Obutto Ozone frame and chair, Samsung 50" UHD/4k flat screen, Thrustmaster TX servo base, leather rally wheel, pedals, and shifter, all operating on a recently rebuilt gaming-focused RX-5700/i5 PC.
This setup was a top notch entry-level system when I built it about a decade ago for my Xbox (Forza Motorsport, Project Cars) but it still works well enough for my purposes now (Assetto Corsa). Im hoping to upgrade the screen to an Odyssey G9 49" ultrawide eventually and swap the wheel servo to a Thrustmaster T818 Direct Drive when it releases in the US. |
