Changing tire size?

I have an 06 BMW 325i, nothing special about it, I think.

I also have an 02 BMW 325i w/sport package from what I found out after it rusted out.

16" on the 06 and 17" on the 02

If I swap those will there be any issue?

From what I understand, my car (06) doesn't have actual sensors in the wheels and is read through the DSC sensors by tire rotation, and I do not want run-flats.

I just replaced my control arms, tire rods and bearings and don't want to drive it to see how it feels with the 17"s and if I can initialize the tpms because alignment won't be till this weekend, so I'm here for advice.

Do I use the tire pressures for the 17" from my 02 BMW or will they change?

Thanks!

your (06) doesn't have sensors in the wheels and is read through the DSC by tire rotation.

Depending on rim style and width the 17's from the 02 are, they will have offsets that will require spacers. Not running spacers may cause rubbing/fitment/clearance issues on he strut side.

02 e46:
17x7.5 et41 or 17x8 et47

06 e90:
16x7 et34

Depending on tire (not rim) size, may cause clearance and or speedo problems

Run air pressure rated for the tire being used, I believe run flats do run slightly higher pressures than non run flat
