$660 Labor for Bluetooth Retrofit?

This sounds pretty high to me, right?

The price is excessive if you consider that you can install it yourself and then take it to the dealer for coding.

The price is reasonable if you just dump the car at the dealer for them to have a party with it.

It's $260 to code, so $400 for the actual physical install labor. I'm guessing I can can find someone to do it for $200 maybe. At that price, it wouldn't be worth my time installing

If the car is prewired...which I'm not sure if BMW does for bluetooth...it's basically removing a few panels, mounting and connecting the retrofit.

Yeah -- I just paid $250 for coding -- but did the physical install myself. The install is not very hard -- but I had folding rear seats which make it easier, as you don't need to remove the seat, just fold and pop out the side cushion.

I found the trickiest part was figuring out how the MOST fiber optic junction box worked. You need to use a screwdriver to release a tab and then slide the two boxes off each other. It is hard to describe -- but obvious once you see it done. Releasing the fiber optic cables is similarly tricky and obvious.

It took me about 4 hours to install -- but I'm sure that I could do it again in under an hour.
