95770 Substitute?

Due for my yearly spark plugs and seems like the 95770 is on backorder with all sources and NGK themselves. Anyone find an alternative for one step colder or is it just either OEM or 2 step colder?

They show in stock on amazon? Some automotive shops must have them in stock. Contact an n54 vendor like BMS? They have to have spares for their race cars and n54 specific shops must have some...

Do yours really only last a year? If so, just buy from fcp. You can easily trigger 6 misfires 1 per cylinder. Free plugs once a year.

There are vendors that have them, might have to pay a little more though. I just bought some from autozone.com and am having them shipped to home.

If you don't have a misfire there is no reason to swap...I mean they usually last 30k miles. At least they did on my e90 and my friends e90. Both were the same duration basically. Once every 2 years, 15k miles a year. I assume you are doing this for preventative reasons but once a year is very aggressive unless you are putting alot of miles on them.

You might consider upgraded coilpacks if they really last that short of a time...Should help and you can run a larger gap for a better burn and more hp in theory.

Amazon shows third party sellers who I don't really trust. FCP is my go to but they are out of stock with no ETA. Same with Advance, Rock Auto, etc

30,000 mile intervals on NKG one step colder plugs?

I have new Eldor Coils and new NKG one step colder plugs.

I have read 15 to 20,000 miles max on them.

What stage were you getting 30,000 miles on them?

I have almost 40k on my 95770's on FBO E50 tune. No issues yet, but most are highway miles also. I drive it hard often though.

I average 15-20k intervals. Not saying I use them till they are misfire state. 75% city / 25% highway, Stage 2 or E50.

Hmm. Interesting note.

The OEM plugs are rated for 45,000 miles on the n54.

I mostly drive suburban paved back roads where you drive 50 to 60mph in short 15-20 min trips.

Do you guys run them till they start misfiring or do you change them when you notice differences when driving like slower cold starts and stuff like that.

I just refreshed my plugs and coils and still chose to go with the factory Bosch stuff and I'm FBO Stage2+. Even tried E30 map to. Haven't had issues yet.

I thought you had to run one step colder. Or is it that one step colder will gives you less issues over time?

I run them until I have issues. I'm not trying to break dyno records every day/weekend so why care if I lose a little bit of performance. As long as I feel the engine running fine and not missing then I'll rum em. But now that I know i'm at about 40k I will probably change them soon. 40k on a tuned engine is pretty good for plugs to last and I know I'm at the end of their life.

We still use factory Bosch. Latest ETA is early June on NGK last we heard.

Same here. I looked everywhere and Autozone just cancelled my order this morning. Anyone know a worthy alternative for these spark plugs?

NAPA, Advance, O'Reilly are all showing available.

Summit has a ship date of June 6th.

Etc.

Might be a good excuse to try the 97506. FCP Euro is the obvious vendor choice there.

They are on a national back order from NGK with no shipment date in sight. A lot of the plugs left out there are fakes especially on amazon so be careful.

I've been suggesting the NGK 2-step plugs for all of our tuned customers.
