That is really poor placement of the primary O2 sensor. It needs to be able to read all 3 cylinders on that bank. personally, I wouldn't use them like that - O2 sensor feedback is really important on the N52 (even if you have a MAF).

AA Headers and bolts

I made it all the way through getting the headers on. Now time to hook up the mid pipes. These AA headers include the remaining hardware shown. I can see I would use the silver nuts/bolts to hook up the midpipe. But what would I do with the brass ones then? There is only two of those.

I will take a guess and say it is for people who are using aftermarket mid pipes. I don't think they will have captive nuts/nutplates built into the flange like oem.
