Decent price white Angel eyes with high quality

Just wanna share my experience with these 106 leds h8 bulbs since no one has done it yet. Recently bought a set of these h8 106 leds bulbs from Bimlandpeformance for $45, personally think it can compete with LUX 160. My car is in the shop now, upgrading to M sport bumper, which needs 9006 for foglights, I also bought a set of 9006 from bimlandperformance, will update soon.

H8 Angel eyes / Fog lights
Material: Solid aluminum case.
No error code on dash
Led color: Pure white.
Led numbers: 106s, which is super bright, even during day time.
Light distribution: As you can see both rings have white light, and the inner ring is a but brighter.

9006
Will update once I get my car back!

Here's some pics from close to far.

Well idk about competing with Lux

The inner lights are hella bright and the outers aren't really any brighter than oem, just a whiter light

Good AEs are about more than just brightness - proper light distribution is also needed. The Lux bulbs are constructed so that the LEDs are positioned when installed to point directly into light pipes for outer rings so the outers are more closely lit to match the inner rings.

But hey, if you like them, then that's all that matters

OP the lights look great, so bright! The poor distribution is due to the design of the E90 angel eyes. I've seen LUX do the same thing on E90's.

Thanks for sharing such great find!

The distribution between inner and outer will never be perfect, it's impossible due to the design flaw of the housing. That being said, better distribution can be achieved with the right design that focuses the light towards the optics.

Exactly what he said

I am fully aware of the flawed oem design but there are AE's out there that are not only brighter, but also correct the flaw to some degree as in his pics

Believe me, I have had gp thunder, weislicht led, hid, DTec v9, lux v8, and now lux160

The 160s are the best - No disrespect to hpb as I have no personal experience, but I do have all their interior lighting and hid fogs

The hid AE's I had looked like yours, inner lights were hella bright blob and outers were dim

Jeff's pic is the E92 which has better angel eye optics than the E90. He's comparing apples to oranges. No disrespect to LUX, but even the LUX pics on E90 that I've seen are no better than OP's pic.

Here's an E90. They are both flawed IMO. Actually E90 isn't as flawed as much but I think the argument is moot. They both look very similar.

Thanks Jeff. That's a nice pic of the E90. Is it LUX 160 in there?

Not sure if you guys know LUX just introduced the new LUX 180. Reason I posted this its because these led bulbs are 4 times cheaper than LUX, and came out with a decent result for that price.

Ok, so from what I see there is few EA experts a,d in my thread nobody respond me actually. I just bought a Lci e91 wagon 2011 and headlights light color is yellow, white. Doesn't strong enough for me. I'm looking for some upgrade. Should I replace the bulbs to make a nice look or whole rings ?

Before making any guesses at comparisons you would honestly need to see 2 cars side by side to get a better idea of how they really look. Try to see if you can find a forum member that has the LUX H8 160 as you mentioned and get a comparison. I think that would be the most helpful thing to do.

I've tried three different eBay branded LED H8 bulbs for my angel eyes now.

NONE of them come close to the pure white colour and light distribution of the H8. I tired going to the cheaper route three times before ultimately the proof was in the pudding.

The eBay bulbs always had way too big a difference on the outer rings from the inners and make the car look broken. Is it worth the almost $200? I'd say so, if you want it to look as good as it possibly can on stock angel eye housings.

E92 pre-LCI and E90 LCI xenon have the same optical design for the angel eyes.

Yea the optics are the same. I think the only thing different is the E92 outer rings have a different slash cut on them, which affects how they can be seen off angle. If you don't look at them head on, they will appear not to be lit up. I have no idea why BMW did it this way. LOL

If you are getting a 2011 335xi then it has Xenon headlights and used a H8 bulb for the angel eyes. There are a number of replacement options available. Do some research from results of others and as well look at the Vendor section of the forum http://www.e90post.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=173 as these are proven and tested products

It is as simple as changing the bulb, it's just a tight area which makes it a little harder then changing a light bulb in your house.
