Hybrid turbos + JB4?

Hi guys, so I’ve just got hold of a pair of hybrids, the guy is on here I’m sure!

E92 335i-how does the JB4 perform with hybrid turbos should I get one, or get a remap done? Car is already remapped on standard turbos

Sorry if this questions been asked a million times before

You would be better off asking on a JB4 forum. If you are already flash tuned I don't see why you would want/need JB4. Unless it's for a handful of features you may or may not use.

Most people here will suggest a custom flash only MHD tune. I recommend Motiv as a tuner and I am happy to make an introduction for you.

Which turbos did you go with?

After fitting hybrids I’m assuming I will need a fresh map to run better with the new turbos. And wasn’t sure instead of getting another map, whether I’m better off getting JB4

yes a custom map will let you get everything out of your RBs based on your fuel elevation etc. If you already have MHD just get a custom flash tune by a well known tuner. Custom maps are cheap.

If your going to put hybrids on it you're ideally going to need to carry out a lot of other mods to make hybrid tubs worthwhile, I would have thought you'd at least need;
Up rated intercooler
Charge pipe & DV's
Air filter, DCI or a proper cold air intake.
Up rated fuel pump
Stage 3 remap
With all that extra power your going to need to uprate the brakes & suspension. My 35i had 370bhp before the new stock turbos & VRSF charge pipe & that was fine but now I find myself fighting the back more often & having to wait longer before a can apply all the pedal. Yes it's fun but I wouldn't want any more unless I'd done some suspension work.
