iPad disabled
Son has "disabled" his iPad2 by putting in a passcode and forgetting it!!! As far as I know, it's never been connected to iTunes. Any way of getting in without restoring/wiping it? (There's pics/vids on there that we'd like to keep).

Yes there is. I work in IT and specialize in tablet management, just had a service desk ticket come in 5 minutes ago for the same thing. I'm not sure if this will work if the device hasn't been connected to the computer you're trying with, but it works for us.
The trick is to plug it into iTunes, wait for iTunes to tell you it must wipe the device, agree to the wipe, just before it begins to wipe the iPad it will have to re-enable the device for iTunes. At this point you can unplug and voila, its no longer disabled. |

Ah ok, well let me know. I do this at least once a week with no issues. But as mentioned, I plug them into the Apple Mac I configured them with in the first place...
