Love both. If you are keeping the current, I think a GTR would be a solid choice.

No love for Porsche? What you'll spend on a GTR/M3 would get you a nice 997.

True. I would get a 996 turbo for the M3 price.

Thought about it. GTR would mean I'd be getting rid of the current. M3 would have the chancie to keep one of the two cars in the garage.

996T would be legit and is what I'm currently looking into myself. I'm a huge Porsche junkie, though. I'd say go with what would allow you to keep one car for daily reasons, and then get a pretty weekender. I love everything about the new GTR, but to me, having two quality built vehicles is greater then just one quality built vehicle. I'd have a bigger toss up between a 996 and an M3 allowing you to keep your current.

Also, I don't really know much about maint. costs of a GTR, but I think it would be less than favorable since it would be your only car.

Sometimes I fly and sometimes I will make the 12 hour commute by car. I really enjoy the scenery and the serenity that comes with it, I feel very much at peace even though the drive is as long as it is. I will probably be driving up on the 21st and staying until Jan 6th.

When I do come up, I am usually anywhere from Mount Clemens, St. Hgts, Birmingham, and Highland, so I am kind of all over the place.
I drove from Warren to Myrtle Beach once. About 14 hours one way. I didn't mind it too much since the scenery was nice and I was driving a LS7 vette.

M3.. Would hate for you to get rid of your 335 now. One of the cars I envy the most on here. I could only imagine what treatment the M3 would get.

Coded my car, mods applied:
digital speedometer on cluster screen and showing correct speed;
no chimes for open door, driver/passenger seat belts;
If A/C was off, when pressing AUTO it doesn't come on;
Windshield wipers finish wiping in the home position when key is taken out.
What didn't work out: even after coding angel eyes keep throwing error. Probably, have to upgrade FRM, just coding didn't help.
Let me know if someone wants to code their ECUs, but offer is as is, no warranties =D

If I can ever get my car back from the shop, I will take you up on that. Want to code out a few light checks and add a few little things (speedo on dash, mirrors fold up when locked, etc)

Anyone know which number is the bulb that lights up the tail light lines on the inner tail lights?

http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...09&hg=63&fg=20

Mines out on my passenger side and having trouble deciphering which one it is on the diagram.

I would think #9 from that diagram. 7 looks like brake light bulbs. The lines dont need as big of a bulb, so that would be my guess from looking at that diagram.

You make sense. The bigger bulbs would be for turn/brake. Same bulbs.

Everything else should be those little ones. I'd assume this is one of them. Just trying to find a good replacement. BMW Genuine is $15 for that little bulb.

Hey guys I'm traveling to Troy this weekend for work. Any good suggestions for restaurants and bars? Do I have to trek out to Detroit for decent bars/nightlife?

Negative. Troy is a very nice area, with a decent amount of potential. If you want to drop some money on an awesome meal, Ocean Prime on Big Beaver just past Somerset mall on the south west corner. I went with my girlfriend back when they first opened and our food was incredible. You can also travel about 5 miles west and take Woodward south about 2/3 miles into downtown Birmingham where there's a pretty good selection of places to eat. Last place I went to was Edison's, food was good, trendy little atmosphere, little pricey, but not terrible.

You don't necessarily HAVE to go to Detroit for decent bars and night life, but that is where you'll find a lot of action, and some really good places to eat. Greek Town has some incredible restaurants, I really enjoy going to Pegasus when I am in town as well as The Old Shillelagh.

As far as restaurant, there are a LOT out there. Nothing I can call my favorite though.
