A follow up. If the oil, synthetic, has been changed regularly, will,t(e turbos go easily past 100k?

Estimated longevity of the steering rack?

The most stock turbos I've seen is 140k. That's not the norm. Same goes for steering rack. Tend to go when car reaches >100k. To be honest I don't recall I did any maintenance except steering fluid flush one time in the past 10 or so years.

335i e93 stuttering stalling rough idle

I know there’s tons of information on this from all the other great users of this form. I just wanted to share my experience as it seemed a little different than some of the other descriptions I had of the symptoms. In our case the car started great and sounded smooth until I got warm after about 30 seconds it would hardly run. I believe it caused the alternator to fail as well and so while I was in there I changed the alternator. I didn’t get the usual trouble codes. In my case I had just a 29f1 fuel pressure plausibility and 2d2e throttle angle manifold.

Make sure to disconnect the negative lead on the battery for this project. I replaced the fuel pressure sensor also since I was in there. Make sure you get the superseded part. I was fortunate to find one at the salvage… Even though the vehicle had 200,000 miles on it. 7616194-02 was the original (defective) part number.

In my case the replacement part is (13517616170) 7616194-03. Once I put it in an button everything up; it ran like a champ again. Be prepared the fuel pump screws are incredibly difficult to remove; but it’s doable just be patient.

You can save yourself a lotta money doing this yourself. I’d call it a 4/10 difficulty.

this happened to me recently, like last Thursday (01-31-19) recently. I was driving and all of a sudden the car lost power and wasnt running at full power also made a noise couldn't locate the noise I think it was the timing belt but im not good with cars so? any ways i turned the car off let it sit then cranked it back up and ran fine and still running fine as of (2-4-19) so any advice ?

I believe I have a problem with my hpfp, the car is jerky around 1-3000rpm and will show that my gas tank is empty even when it isn't
