Yes. Same issue here. I just deleted it, we’ll see if I can live without Dr Gini.

Trying to get INPA to run

I am trying to get inpa to run on windows 10 laptop. It is a usb 3.0 port. I couldn't get it to run with my crappy clone cable so I ordered the BimmerGeeks cable. It has a push button. I believe out is pins 7 and 8 not connected which is what I am trying. I probably should check this. Tried the other position too but no luck. So, I need to run inpa to bleed the brake DSC on my 2013 e70.
Do I need to load the new daten files? I did this but I have since reloaded all the software.
Sometimes I get the black dots (even without being plugged in).
I am currently getting error IFH-00010 error. I have gotten IFH-00018 and IFH-00003 too at various times.

Thanks for any help I can get.

I believe most of the cars in the F series use the E sys cable not
sure though. Not sure run your vin through mdecoder to find out.

http://blog.obdii365.com/2016/06/26/...ization-error/

which version of usb won't matter but the cable must be set to the com port
used in the setup and the latency must be set to 1.

Ista problems

I was still curious about Dr Gini so I reinstalled stuff and scanned it with my recently purchased Norton 360.

It also identified Dr Gini as infected with a Trojan.

"Compatibility mode" not coming up

I have tried running the bimmergeeks standard tools St212.exe file a million times
-I get the error message needing windows 4.0/windows XP.
-I go to properties to select "run in compatibility mode" this option does not come up.... any ideas how to run in compatibility mode or what I am doing wrong.... screen looks like this (below) when I right click "properties" where compatibility mode option should be. Any help most appreciated???? thank you!

XP is just to weak to run Ista in my opinion .
OK for standard tools.

when you start seeing method errors it usually means
you do not have a full complement of Microsoft C++ excutables.

Also you need Netframework 4.7 or better.

https://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1581663

To Run compatibility mode right click.(on the app file)
Select property's.
Select compatibility mode.

As far as I know after XP there was windows 7 and after that a lot
of crappy versions till they reached 10.
Windows 7 or 10 is what I would do .
I like 10

Downloaded full complement of microsoft C ++ executables listed in your link. Already running Netframework 4.7 or better (wont allow me to download) .... still getting the same error, no "compatibility mode" option. Any other thoughts? Thanks again.

Are you updating to a recent version of windows.
If windows 4 is NT I have never heard of anyone running
either Standard Tools or Ista on that platform.

Im running 10 I think... first error message I get when I try to run the St212.exe says cannot run on my version and tells me to use windows 4NT or XP. Then I try to run in compatibility mode by going to properties but I get the property errors there is no option to run in compatibility mode. Updated windows again, downloaded all c++ microsoft visual files, cannot run the framework because mine is already that or newer, still fails to run the file.

Also all installations must be run as admin
use the power shell in place of the cmd prompt.(windows 10 thing)
there are two versions admin and non admin always use
admin.

Window 10 comes with all the C++ programs and netframework 4.8 or
above now I believe.

Hey guys

Just trying to install standard tools on my 32bit laptop so i can then install ISTA D. I'm following the Bimmergeeks instructions strictly but when i try to register the msflxgrd.ocx file i get the following message: the module msflxgrd.ocx failed to load. the other 2 .ocx files register successfully. I've tried doing a /u uninstall in the commandprompt (opened as an administrator) and it still doesn't work.

Any help would be much apreciated as both of my IT savvy mates are stumped

Also i've seen people mention something called C++ but don't know if it's something i need or not.

The reason for wanting access to ISTA D is to try and read my gearbox clutch adaption pressures. I've tried the xhp flashtool on my android phone (because this lets you see the pressures) but it just won't connect through my K+Dcan cable

Re-guarding the "Dr Gini" in the supplied builds

Quote:
It appears that the original code is searching like mad all folders/drives/shares during each startup to find copies of itself, matching the regular expression "GINI". In case it finds any, it matches on the "Original filename" property and deletes any matching file it comes across. At first I thought there was perhaps by accident malware at play in the original build (it includes packaged DLLs from various origins) until I found this was intentional behavior. It also deletes the entire file contents of \Local\Temp directory when closing. Not only is this pretty crazy behavior, it might actually be dangerous as any file containing "GINI" in the "Original filename" property will be deleted. It managed to kick out a file on my drives named regini.exe which was in an entirely different directory and had nothing to do with this at all! So there is one patched executable where I disabled this behavior, and another one being the patched original.

So use this patched version : https://mega.nz/file/ctpwBIpJ#QmgRA7...tvSuR_aPCg-Omo

Dumb question. I came across different sources when people mentioned bimmercode. How does it compare to this software package? I am still in the research to decide which way to go in terms of tuning, such as "closing windows" from key fob as well as regular maintenances, such as battery coding. Any suggestion will help. Thanks in advance.

Bmw standard tools is far more advanced than bimmercode. It can code, flash and diagnose unlike bimmercode which just offer standard coding and not vehicle order coding.

Hey did you ever find a way to fix this? I can't read any German so it's hard to interpret parts of INPA. Lots of errors still

thank you
