Follow me home lights on key fob (FRM2)

Can anyone help me out here??
Have tried on bmw coding site but I've never met a bigger bunch of unhelpful people on any other forum in my life!!

Anyway, apparently it can be coded to a car with frm2 (Not only frm3 as widely banded around)

I have the issue of not having the HEIMLEUCHTEN_FUNKSCHL line in my FRM trc file

If I look at my full 235k trc file it is there though?.

2007 e91 with frm2 retro fitted.

Thanks for the guide. Unfortunately, NCSDummy doesn't seem to recognize that its a Daten file whenever I save the txt file with the changes. It recognizes the non edited txt just fine. Can you link your FRM.C09 file?

When you save the edited file from notepad be sure to select the file type as 'all files' and not text document. Otherwise it'll save with a txt extension.

I tried that and no matter how i save it either txt or all files I get a Dummy error and it won't load newly edited txt file. it calls it invalid or something in that roam.
However it will load an untouched disassembled file... just like the other guy said... how do I go about it? any hints?

It works fine on my FRM2. And everyone else's I've done it on. Are you holding the button down properly?

You hold it down for a few seconds. If the trunk opens you held it down too long

Yes, also need to change

SONDERTASTE_PANIKALARM to panikalarm in CAS module for this to work.
One quick press of bottom button will do the Lights.
3x times max at a time to save battery power..

Sensible_ takes the credit for helping me to get this one to work. 😎

Confirmed working perfectly, took like 10mins

It's too bad we can't change which lights turns on tho, like with the Welcome lights. Would be nice with halos + fogs instead of lowbeam

Noticed one thing today tho, I can no longer open the trunk from the fob?
Is it the same way with FRM3 or is it just when we do this mod?

My car still opens the trunk but then the light goes off... there must be a way to have both functions working. if i find a solution i will tell you.

I can open the trunk but it doesn't auto pop anymore from holding. I have to let go for it to open after holding the trunk button for a few seconds. Is this the same for everyone else as well? If so I may just turn off follow me home with fob. I pop my trunk way more then needing follow me home with the fob. Just wanted it for the coolness factor anyway.
