all i have is V2. im not lieing several people on this forum know me and mitch(evo owner) and know how fast his car is from the dig he would beat me but this race is from a roll. i dont have any reason to lie.

I dont think you are lying.I just said from what i know about modded Evo,s i find it hard to believe the race was that close even from a roll. My 03 and 06 Evo,s were monsters on the highway as well as from a dig.The pull was astonishing from 30 to over 100.If your friends Evo was running on the money than the V2 in a 335 is one hell of a sweet mod.

He said that he is making about 330 AWHP, His time at the tracks are mid 11's with traps at around 115mph. He is on this forum and will probably admit that my car is faster on the top end then his. He is however going to do a turbo upgrade by changeing out the compressor wheel of his turbo, He will probably pull hard on me then. Until someone can do that with this car, Im looking forward to someday having a large single turbo conversion available for our cars. that will be sick!

Dani, I strongly believe this guy. I also compared my own Evos times and it is perfectly believeable. I already trapped the same speed with my 335i coupe with just a 93oct and V 1.47 than what I trapped on my Evo 8 MR with:

3"Works 02 housing
3"TB custom tune
Methanol injection
264/264HKS cams
MBC
ignition amplifier
upper interccoler pipe
lower intercooler pipe
air filter


Not only that, most of my friends with similar mods also trap similar or less. Given the fact that they were going from a roll I believe it even more. The Evo is great from the dig but it hurts to have AWD when rolling plus the body of the car is a brick.

I dont think the OP is lying like i said.I havnt driven a 335 with the V2 mod,so it is i guess just like he said it was.I have been wrong before,and will be wrong again.Now if he said from a dig this happened,well thats a different story.

From a dig i got dead even with my buddies 05 STI with GT35R until middle of 3rd where we let off, we were dead even right after the dig, he pulled about a car on me and by the time i shifted into 2nd we were side by side. He did a 4000rpm clutch drop... I dyno around 380whp and 450wtq... He dynos about 370whp and 360wtq... He has the advantage of AWD but also it has its disadvantages after the car gets going... If an evo is modded but not with a turbo upgrade then i say a 335 with some mods like V2, intake, exhaust, and DP's will take it after 2nd gear... I mean people are pulling mid 12's 1/4 mile times in the 335's and evos dont get near that without big turbo upgrades so its not that hard to believe...

Well, the way I think is that if a v 1.47 is able to trap almost 111mph then the V2 is even more capable which makes me believe that is capable of trapping a comfortable 113mph plus.

At the local trap(SIR ,Tucson) time after time I see my friends with Evo 8 and Evo 9 trying to trap pass 110mph. Only one or two of them actually trapped 111 and 112mph but they have a huge list of mods(stock turbo though).

My BMW 335i was quicker from stock than my Evos were from stock as well. I am trying to be neutral here, yes I have seen many videos of Evo 9 breaking 11's with silly mods but from I witnessed first hand (local tracks) I have no doubt the 335i can perhaps win from a roll marginally.

There are lots of Evo,s on the stock turbo running easy high 11,s with the right supporting mods and a good tune.

Every 1/4 mile track ive been to at socal ive never seen one break 12's with a whole list of mods... With GT35R's i have seen a 12.2 pass out of an evo on his best run so just going off of what ive seen...

I agree with both of you^^ dan and down4it. There are a big variety of drivers. I was watching on Saturday a Dodge Viper running a 15.5@109 and a c5 convertible running16.0@100.

I believe because I seen it done some Evos running high 11s with minor mods but I also seen other Evos with mods doing 14's. It can go either way.

Since I can speak from what I see (my cars, my friends cars, same local tracks and local dynos) I can speak from experience. This history is indeed very logical.

ets are mostly based on traction, driver, and launch. however traps tell about power, all wheel drive cars will lauch better but on higher gears will loose more power because the power is divided by 4 wheels. they will consistantly run better et times because their 60 foot will be less.

If his car was making 330 awhp (dynojet, I assume), then your car with the V2 should be quicker from a roll just like the vid. But if he ran mid 11's with 115 trap, then he should be making more like 350-360 awhp.

Cars with 350-360WHP do not make 11 second 1/4 mile passes... Unless of course you're on acid... Or your car weighs 1500lbs...

There're EVO's with 350-360 awhp range that ran high 11's with good launch at stock weight. This car has short gear ratio (4th gear tops around 11x mph)and great off the line traction. Though, the trap speed is usually lower than other cars with similar ET.

Hey Chitown335i I'm on the Northside.

Once weather permits would you be willing to run my Evo IX? I want to see where my car stacks up next to Procede 335's.

I'm down to do 1st and 2nd gear rolls vs your V2 335 up to 120, as long as your running pump gas.

My mods are:
3in TBE
MBC @23psi
Road tune
255 Fuel Pump
K&N filter
FMIC
Built tranny
Evo 8 4th gear
ACT clutch


BTW I'm on stock turbo.
