The tips do suck, but they are a quick fix, now it looks like my Eisenmann Sport

I did have the Magnaflow x-pipe, but I have taken it out and replaced the stock resonator. The drone was somewhat reduced. Its not real bad, and Ive noticed a pattern. Its worse when the car is warmed up. After the car has been sitting for a while, there is virtually NO drone until it gets nice and hot again. Im hoping this is a good sign that over time, it may not even drone when warm.

Did you have to cut the tips off the Eisenmann(albeit Fake) and weld it onto the Corse muffler?

Rob@UUC... get those damn tips fixed if you're reading this!!! not trying to give you shit, but it seems like everyone here just despise them!

If you get a chance post a sound clip with the stock resonator in - has this made it any quieter? Love the sound but just not sure if it may be a little too loud for my daily drive.

They were NOT cut off the "Eisenmann" since they are held on by bolts. The guy at the shop is pretty bright. He had to cut the Corsa ones off (who cares) and fashion a piece of pipe for the "Eisenmann) tips to bolt onto. They can easily be removed and replaced on the "Eisenmann" if need be.

I dont think it too loud and I have a 12 week old baby and an 80 year old mom that I drive around. The resonator did quiet it down, but not too terribly much.

Just go see my Eisenmann Sport thread and it looks just like that I used those same tips on the Corsa.

For clarification, was this put on the 325i that is shown on your "Garage" page, or do you have a 335i?

I am surprised that you're getting a drone, and quite frankly, I am curious if the modifications made for the sedan fitment or the 325 or sedan are contributory.

The Corsa tuning methodology includes computer-analyzed microphones placed inside and outside the car which analyze the sound frequencies at all rpm and load situations. This is why when we say the RSC335 is designed for the E92, we really mean it - the E90 sedan has different harmonics, and we can't guarantee the "no drone" operation as we do with the E92 coupe.

Yes, it is on a 335, not the 325 in my garage. I dont have that car anymore.

That may be, and in my initial post I did mention that the drone could be related to it being on a sedan. I wouldnt think it would make such a difference, but it might, I do conceed that.

The interesting thing that I have noticed is that it only drones when hot. After the car has been sitting for a while, it doesnt drone until the car warms back up to temp. So I have some hope that there might be a break in period where it wont drone even when warm. Any ideas Rob?

FWIW, i think E90 is the one that shouldn't drone since it has resonators...

I was probably the most dead-set on getting you to post these vids Fraggy, and I'm the last one to check in. Took the day off so I didn't view the forum as much.

Sounds really good. I need to hurry up and get my bumper fixed so I can exhaust already. I bet this system would sound great with secondary pipes and/or from dp's back.

As always Thanks for posting the vids man.
