Xede and Shortshifter Installed

Hi everyone, I just got my Xede and B&M short shifter installed by GMP Performance in Charlotte. What a difference! It feels like my 05 GTO. I wonder which car is faster at this point. I am taking baby steps to mod each car.

Nice to see another member from NC with a modded 335. It sounds like you are enjoying your new piggyback.

I didn't even know that B&M had a SSK for the 335. I just installed a shorter shift lever from the oem SSK and it made a nice difference in the feel of the gearbox. Is the B&M just a shorter lever or does it replace the entire linkage?

If I'm not mistaken it replaces the entire linkage.

Congrats...

I thought most 335i could keep up with GTO's though...

GTO much slower... unless you did some serious work to it as well.. stock to stock they are damn near identical.. with advantage going to GTO in straight line.. but with Xede.. you would need some serious mods.

Hey Rooster3.0 the B & M part number is 45123 and the other number on the box is 11445123 (isolated street version) that's what's written on the box.

I've never lost to a 335i or M3 in the GTO but they were probably stock. The 335i feels quicker from a stop but the GTO feels stronger from a roll on. My plan is to get a FMIC, BOV, DP, and exhaust, and lastly suspension and wheels. For the GTO I plan to purchase the Air Power Systems twin turbo setup which produces 545 whp. Hopefully I will be able to get this done this year, but if not oh well...

hijack

I did a few freeway runs with a manual 6.0 gto...from 60 (in 3rd) to 140 I consistently walked him. I would start pulling on him almost right away and just keep walking away. At 140 I was probably 4-4.5 lenghts. I assume he was stock, but I was pretty surprised my car was that much faster.

What did you think of the B&M? I've always thought they were high quality and I really like the one I have for my Maxima - some find it notchy, but to me its perfect. Not too notchy, but not flimsy either. What were your thoughts in the BMW?

unaware of the B&M option....any pics? Price?

Does it get rid of the 1-2 shift notchiness?

if it's part number 45123, it's the same lever that's been sold for the e90 330 as well. I've been waiting for 100% confirmation that it fit the 335. I think vivid racing has them for 175. i'll let ya know how i like mine when it comes in. To the OP, thanks for the #

I will be installing this same setup.

Xede R7 Map + Short-Shifter, probably a UUC. This coming week. I can't wait. and an exhaust = low low 12's on the street.

Its the same part number for the e90 and it fits the 335 perfectly and lowers it about an inch in height. It's still a little notchy to me but I like it better than the stock rubbery feel. The throws are much more precise.
