JB Speed Front Splitters Question
Hey all.. thinking of getting these for my pre-LCI e90.. I need to figure out ground clearance issues, especially since I'm lowering my car soon. Can someone tell me how much lower, and how much forward beyond the bumper they sit?
Thanks! Sachin |

Many people run splitters on the M front bumper, and are lowered, dont see them having issues. If you break them well thats a chance you take for being low or driver error.

It is very thin and sits against the bottom of the bumper, so only makes the bumper about 2mm lower - depending on the splitter design, some add an inch or 2 forward on the front of the bumper, so you have to be a little more careful leaving room when pulling up to a parking curb than the stock bumper.
Unlike the bumper though, the splitters don't survive impacts as most are made out of wet carbon or fiberglass and pretty much are destroyed with any parking curb contact!

^^ concur. No additional ground clearance necessary. The protrude forward no more than 1-2 inches, not a huge difference.
I've seen the JBSpeed splitters first-hand. I like the fitment of the M-Force Tech MUCH better. |
