Ok i don't quite get this, your a tech but your calling its a 328 Ci or 335Ci,
you should know its not a Ci (its not an e46, its an e90, therefore its just 328i or 335i)

Anways, so its a 328? not a 335? but then why are there dual exhaust cut outs in the bumper? the bumper must be from a 335 then?!

and like someone else said, please do elaborate on the horsepower limitiations of the 335 engine, im curious?!?

The 335i rear bumper looks odd with only the 328i single exhaust.... IMO.

But the drop is nice to look at... I wouldn't drive something that low outside of a parade.

Question: Did you mention the rim widths and offsets?

Car looks really good... that thing is dumped!

I use to have an apexi N1 on my turbo s2k with 3" piping, but I can't help but think that the way it will make the N54 sound will be totally out of place. Maybe I am wrong, but we'll need a sound clip to prove it.

*edit*... nevermind, I just saw that its a 328, not a 335.

I get them directly from the dealer, they are original BMW parts, here are the pics....

You can see the damper control for the tein suspension under steering wheel.

Here is the finished dual apexi 3" inlet mufflers, I will post a sound clip, when i figure out how.

got a question though, what HP limitations on the 335i engine? being a tech you might have more insight than us.

Well actually on internal documents they still use the "c" to designate two door coupes for the E92. The E93 convertible internal designations are actuallyh 328cic and 335cic.

It is an e92 328ci bumper, I just cut the exhaust holes mylself using an air cutter.

As far as HP limitations.. The 335 has direct injection which is a limitation in itself due to the highpressure fuel system and difficulty in upgrading it. If you wanted to upgrade injectors you could not, as they are too new and nothing is available.

The spark plugs are not available in any other heat range as yet also because they are too new, which would be a limitation due to heat range. The blocks are both open deck blocks making it very prone to cracking due to cylinder movement under high pressure.
Turbos are really small as everone knows.

Basically you could get to about 500 flyhweeh hp before you start having problems, then you are kind of stuck until the aftermarket world can catch up. The 328 engine on the other hand has conventional fuel injection and conventional spark system so it is very easily
upgraded for as much hp as the engine itself can handle. The block is basically the same as the 335 block except for the outer layer of the block is magnesium, and they do not have steel liners.

My initial hp goal is approx 700 wheel hp, eventually climbing to approx 1000 wheel hp. I am building an engine at the moment, which can sustain these numbers. The engine should be complete by March of 2008, I have this time frame due to the extensive R & D involved
due to this has never been done to this engine and this would make this the first ever engine block utilizing three different types of metals together (magnesium, aluminum, and ductile iron).

Regardless, Ill give you props for having one of the best first posts on a forum ever.
Actually I am going to turbo this stock motor, and have done the math. I have figured that at only 5 psi of boost pressure, on 93 octane fuel, on a single Garret GT35R ballbearing turbo the 328 will put out just over 300 flywheel hp (about 308hp) and at 7 psi it would put out about 340 flywheel hp.
I am going to start out at about 4psi to make sure everything is ok, then i will gradually increase boost to about 7 psi on the stock engine, I might actually use a gt42 instead of the gt35 turbo, have not decided
as yet, will let you guys know.

sounds like it...but one thing..does he realize that 300-340 flywheel hp is basically what the 335 has stock -without procede?
from what i have learned on this forum, BMW underrated the hp/tq numbers

so even so, a turbo on your 328 if even pushing 340 hp @ 7psi, your just a tad quicker than a bone stock 335!

the only possibilty here is, he may have made a mistake and meant to say at the wheels, not at the flywheel! but even so..

at least it explains the whole 328ci and 335ci confusion.

I don't see the magnesium block being better for a turbo application but lets see it dude don't talk just do...

Hmmm why do a dual exhaust set up if your going to have 700+ rwhp?

It wouldnt it be better if you just go single 4 inch TI exhaust.

It seems like an oxymoron to me because your car is slammed to the floor /w 20's and yet you want 700+ rwhp.

Not hating. Just curious.
