Sure for the couple thousand dollars difference between a M-sport 335i and a stripper 335is, you could buy enough mods (JB, exhaust, etc) to kick the shit out the 335is, but imo, the extra power, extra cooling, and the body bits is worth at least a grand to me and still having a WARRANTY is worth the rest.

And I know everyones going to say, just remove everything when you go to the dealer, but honestly, its worth avoiding the hassle and completely avoiding any chances of a mishap.

Keep in mind yall...

In 2003 my ZHP stickered for somewhere just north of $46,000 (not about to dig up the window sticker for the exact amount) with heated leather, hid's, moonroof and nav, no premium package, not the complete cold weather package.

Base price of 50k doesn't sound too bad to me...

Actually...no you couldn't buy any power mods for the m-sport 335i...it uses the new n55 single-turbo engine

That interior trim would keep me from buying the car. What is it called? "Swordfish Skin Silver Aluminum?"

I like the car, but in general, I think it is a miserable attempt to compete with the S4. The S4 will continue to win the magazine comparos until the F30.

Also amusing how the reviewers think it relevant to comment so much on the steering and handling that has not been changed.

Yeah, that's definitely putting things in perspective. I had an '05 330ci ZHP that stickered in the mid $40s as well...with full leather, xenons, Nav, heated seats, PDC, and sunroof.

What's with the fog lights? I thought the E92 335is would have those removed for extra cooling.

I don't know about the jet black mirror thing, they don't look aggressive enough to wear a different color well

These are the first pics I've looked at that make the headlights seem super mean, I really like them

It's my 335i with the Performance Package and Exhaust. And some stiffer motor mounts. Nice, but not a huge difference.
I don't think I like the grey gauges either, I know I don't like the '335is' on the gauge.
BUT, I really like those wheels! I may have found the wheels I want on my car!

As for insurance concerns, the increase was not substantial at all for me (age 30 w/clean record except for a minor at-fault accident in 2008). Yes, I have the sedan, but before I got it I also got insurance quotes on the coupe and they were only a couple dollars a month more than the sedan.
Why is it that every time a 335 is discussed someone has to mention M3 and vice versa?

Guess what folks -- there are some (like me) that want what a 335 offers as opposed to a high revving M3. Don't get me wrong, I love the M3 and think it's a fantastic car and the best bang for the buck from a pure performance standpoint (with comfort features) on the market today. However, it isn't what some of us want for the car's intended use (like daily driving and never going to the track). In these cases, a 335 or 335is is the correct choice. Nothing more, nothing less.

So, with my Power Kit and Performance Exhaust, does it mean I have a 335is sedan ?

What I can gather from this is that the 335i turbines can safely hold 14.5psi of boost...JB3/Procede anyone ?

Since everyone seems to be bitching about the price, interior trim, added options etc, I would just like to throw out a friendly reminder.....

This is gorgeous.

I still can't get over the badges being placed all over the car. It's on the tachometer, on the dash and even under the side turn signals. It screams LOOK AT ME!!! LOOK AT ME!!!

That's so unbecoming of you BMW

if you bought a 335 w m-sport and added exhaust, and the engine upgrade u would be around 50k if not higher ... right?

... i guesstimated on the math in my head so tell me if im way off here
You can certainly convince yourself that it's not overpriced. But wipe the board up and starting adding various types of cars you can get for 50K, you'll realize just how overpriced this one it.

+1... this car is for show not go. You want go? Get yourself a nicely maintained 07 for under 30 grand, add LSD some suspension bits, larger oil cooler. You will do circles around this "is" thing.

Hardly. Count the "M" logos inside and outside of an E46 M3.

Side of the car (with chrome gills, no less), gearshift knob, headrests, embroidered floormats, tachometer, door sills, and more. It's just a little bit out of control.

"Unbecoming", you say. "Tradition", I say.

Badges aside, I think it looks great. It reminds me of my old ZHP.
Am I the only one who likes the black mirrors?
