Anyone here with 335 Dinan?

Curious what if anything you are doing in terms of maintenance. I am planning on oil/filter changes every 10k. Anything else?

Nothing special required. That said I'm doubling up on maintenance schedule for oil just because I can't stand waiting 15k.
What Dinan do you have?

A local member Smartys has the Dinan stage I/II ecu flash on his 335i cab. I have a stage II ecu tune on the 135i thinking of going stage III soon.

Every 10K kms is fine i think if you're not doing any tracking or alot of city driving (ie stop and go traffic). I usually do every 8-10K kms if thats any help.

Me personally, and a few others on here, get their oil changed about every 7500 miles. I have a good relationship with the dealership; I pay for one...they pay for the other. I took my car in once for a leaking windshield washer tank and they replaced the oil for free (when it was my turn). IMHO, if you have a tune...it needs to be done more. Keep in mind, the 14000 mile intervals recommended by BMW are for a car with no tunes. No matter how you slice it, a car with a tune is running harder than one without...why not change the oil more often?

FYI...an oil change on a 335 will range around $130-$150, unless you do it yourself.

Thanks for the input. No tracking for me.....just want to make sure my baby stays healthy. Cannot imagine the filter lasting 25k's

Exactly the schedule I will follow......I agree on the added "in between" change.

Budds can do the flash. Take about 2 hrs. Forget the S1, do the S2. Cost about $2,000 Cdn (with the sale still on right now)

Had the S2 on my e90 for about a year. LOVE IT.

Did a break in oil change at 1,500km, then following with twice as often as BMW recommends. Following the pre-free-maintenance schedule for other stuff.

It pulls like crazy at any RPM and at the same time is very drivable for every day use. No lurching etc.Very smooth. Official Dinan numbers are 384hp and 421 torque.

Budds did mine as well. I had to upsize the rear tires just so that I can put the power to the ground. Before that, rear end always lost it whenever I got on the throttle.

5k oil changes

Every 5k with the cheapest LL-01 oil you can find -- most likely GC 0W-30 at Autozone $5.85 qt.

That torque really is intoxicating.

Has anyone had a chance to test the un-governed top speed? I've only hit 185-190k (110-115mph), but that was unintended while passing a string of cars on a 2-lane road.

I'm pretty sure the 384hp/421tq number is with their exhaust and not just the tune. But regardless, for a conservative tune(safe)..it's great!

With RWD the traction control kicks in all the time WITHOUT the Dinan. Must be crazy/annoying.
