Is it wrong of me to eye the 2011 WRX so much - it has the same STi widebody and is 35-40 hp less than the STi which can be easily overcome. Its also 25K which is pretty damn decent for a car of this caliber. I feel like I am a cheating whore since the mitsu has been so close to my heart, but man - for the money, the new WRX is pretty damn good deal. Still a butter knife - but a damn decent butter knife.

All up to the point where it starts using oil and then goes buh-bye.

I will say this though I did see a white one on the road and did give it a triple look. Would be a good DD if it wasn't such a fail motor.

25K seems steep to for something not to far off from an Evo for price. It's like buying a ralliart when the real thing is only another 5K away...

The 2011 WRX is waay better than a ralliart, Jer. Comparing apples to apples and looking at the hatch and the five door side by side, it makes more power and has more features for the price. So, I have to give the subaru the nod here especially since it has the STi bodypanels.

Also, Base WRX is less than 26K, Base STi is 34K. That's about 7 to 8 k, mang The Ralliart hatchback with the failboat SST tranny is 29K.

Couple clips made ALL the difference in the world! Just mounted up snow tires for Tony's 335 and it was easy. No scratches, ripped beads, or an entire afternoon. Best part was mounting Nehru's winter tires by hand. Yes, by hand. I was actually able to push a set of 14" tires on the rims without the machine, too funny.

I will jump on the WRX band wagon. The new sedans are nice, would be nice to have for a winter DD. Never had issues with any of mine in the 7 years I owned them. Will admit if I had another I would not modify the engine. Sure you could do the CAI/Exhaust but after that you are better off just getting something with a chest thumping V8.

Bring the shank, I have Tobias' abbs of steel to protect me.

just bolt-ons would be great. I have been looking for old 04-05 STi's too. Would be nice to find one of them unmolested with low miles since they were the best years engine wise.
