I installed a new filter on the UR CAI today, an aFe oiled filter (P/N 24-30508, 3"F x 5"B x 3-1/2"T x 8"H). A few weeks ago I had installed an aFe ProDry S (P/N 21-30003) that was an inch shorter according to spec but really is just a little smaller than the one I replaced it with today. I decided to try the oiled filter since it is supposed to flow better and use the ProDry S as my backup when the other filter is out being cleaned
It doesn't cause any issues with the fender liner installation and will provide more surface area than the K&N. Why aFe over K&N? http://www.billswebspace.com/AirFilterTest.htm Comparison of aFe dry vs oiled filters: Here are some pics:
