2008 320d m sport pressure regulator sensor

hi does anyone know if the fuel pressure regulator sensor on the back of the fuel rail needs coding to the vehicle or the values changing as my haynes manual says it does but bmw are telling me it doesn't ? im a bit baffled by this to be honest.

Won't need coding, may just need adaption values resetting.
