BMW OEM IPOD retrofit

As many of you know and can be seen on the REALOEM parts site, there is now a proper integrated IPOD to BMW audio retrofit kit which maps steering wheel crontrol to your IPOD controls.

The part nunber is 65410404330 . I asked my dealer in the UK about this and hte price is about £190 including VAT. However the fitted price he quoted was close to £700 !!!! Which is just a fantasy.

Does any one have any pricing from their dealerships and any advice on a way forward would be much appreciated. At the present time I am thinking of appealing to BMW in Bracknell UK for a more reasstici price.

Any feedback guys on your experiece ? :rocks:

Thanks XCALIBR - I had a look at it but it states that the car should be flashed with the latest software then the hardware installed. There is no coding necessary.

Installation takes about 1.5 hours of a dealers time. But my dealer is telling me that to flash the car takes 3 to 4 hours and that I have to pay for that at £150 + per hour !!! And I just can't accept that and refuse to pay such a stupid price. Hence my question to you all - have any of you got a price quote for a dealer fit the IPOD retrofit kit ?

Many thanks in advance

Simon
