grinding sound under hood when hvac is active
hi everyone,
has anyone experienced a "grinding" sound under the hood (closer to the front end) when the hvac is on (heat or a/c) |

Also, if it's more of a drone, your blower motor eccentric shaft may just need lubricating Mine was pretty bad after the car was left sitting for a few months; the shaft is steel and tends to rust/corrode after a while of inactivity and leads to a nasty "droning" both inside and outside the cabin. It is located under the passenger side cabin filter slit under the windshield cowl (you can however nail the little shaft without removing the cowl if your aim is good with the silicone spray ) Those are the only two issues that I've personally dealt with in regards to the HVAC causing noise in the engine bay Good luck
