New member saying hello.
Wanted to say a big thank you to everyone on the forum, as despite this being my first post I have spent many late nights lurking and reading up on the E92 (pretty much every old post in the UK section). After 5 years of E36 M3 ownership I decided it was about time for a refresh and on Friday am picking up an E92 330D M-Sport from Stephen James BMW.
Spec is as follows: E92 330D M-Sport Coupe Manual 3,500miles register July 07 (ex BMW GB car) Le-Mans Blue Dakota Cream Leather 19" M-Sport alloys Nav Professional with Bluetooth Heated & Electric Seats iPOD Connection Electric Mirrors Thanks again, and I'm sure I will have lots of questions come the weekend Andy |

Welcome Andy, and congratulations on your new purchase. Couple things you might ask your dealer to do - 1) latest SatNav disc ie 01-2008 (although you can download the SpeedCam version from Sergei Industries, but having the original is always good) 2) double-check the torch is in the glovebox 3) ask them to update the car software to the latest version 4) make sure the dealer sets up the Car Key Profile for you Enjoy!!!

Car Key Profile is the thing that enables each key to remember the mirror/seat positions and the A/C settings (including temp, recirc, and climate programmes). It's normally active, but when I picked my car up that particular feature had been disabled by the Service Manager, because it was an ex-demo. Had to have it reactivated (which is a quick procedure)

Actually, for a true southerner, 'north' is anything beyond Marble Arch. In extreme cases, it's anything 'north' of the River Thames...

Welcome aboard Andy.
Nice choice of motor. I'm rather fond of the 330d myself.

Welcome to the board andy!!
Great choice car, and well spec'd too. My previous car was owned by BMW GB too and had done about 4000 miles when i picked it up. They usually are in very good condition, sometimes hardly driven at all. Just make sure you get the iPOD adapter cable for free (worth £40, part number 6112 0 440 812) and also they give you floor mats (worth around £70). Best of luck with it all, look forward to the pics |
