BMW Manufacturer iPod integration . . .
Check out this link:
http://www.macnn.com/articles/06/04/...face.for.ipod/ It talks about the newly announced BMW iPod adaptor that allows full music and playlist sortability via the radio head unit. It says it's compatible with radios with Sirius and HD radio. Nothing about iDrive compatibility though. I'm excited!!! |

The image would indicate iDrive will be the preferred method for iPod interaction. Nothing to absolutely confirm this. Anyone find a BMW press release on this? I believe this was announced at the New York Auto Show today. |

New iPod adapter
The new iPod adapter announced today is compatable for all BMW models, including 5,6,7, and e90 with Nav. No pricing announced, will be ready for sell in July. Suppossedly it enables you to scroll through your iPod playlist, genres, artist and podcasts.. just like in your iPod.

The video under http://www.ipodyourbmw.com explains it all. It looks like what everyone has been looking for. I'm looking forward to it, regardless of the price.
