Help! Non-power to power seats!
Hi all,
So i've tried looking around for a good DIY for swapping seats and never found anything super helpful. I currently have non sport, non power, non heated, non memory seats on my 06' 325i and an ad popped up for some sport, power, heated, memory seats off of an 07' 335i that I couldn't resist (50$ a piece). I was wondering if anyone had done this swap before, i've been told its possible and i'm afraid it might be way more than I thought. Any insight would be a great help. Thanks

The wiring is a bit complex but doable. I would try to find a parts car and get everything going to each seat. Wiring can be different for heat vs no heat. And changes a bit over the early years.

The heated seat buttons just tell the network to turn on the heated seats. You need to run power, ground and network wires to the drivers seat. The pass seat needs something slightly different as it does not have a seat module. Most of the seat wiring harnesses runs from the connector under the seat to the fuse box area. Tracing it in a parts car without seats or carpet would be the easiest way to visualize it. The below image shows all the wiring that needs to be completed.
