Just swapped in my Summers tires and they are loud!

Ok, before I continue, I have to say that my summer rims & tires were bought from a fellow E90 member. Wheels and tires are in great condition.

Ok, so I swapped out the winters and put on the summer rims & tires. Tires are Brigdestone Turanza EL42's. Same exact as the previous set of summer tires I had. This new set sounds REALLY REALLY loud. The previous summer tires were quiet and i loved it. I was hoping for the same results but now I have loud summer tires.

Any comments on why these are louder that the previous ones I had? Suggestions on a possible course of action? Thank you.

uneven wear (probably never rotated)

I had this experience before ... also Bridgestone but different tire model many years ago.

I had those same tires on my stock rims and they were very loud. My dealer told me there is a defect in that particular tire.

Turn up the stereo...problem solved....

perhaps you need an alignment too ? levelauto.com

the tread pattern on the summers is wider which causes more noise. i have the same issue. it sounds cool. new tires need a balance and an alignment wouldnt hurt.
