Warning to all Vaughan drivers...

On Bathurst from Hwy 7 to Elgin Mills they have now changed it to a 60 km/h zone, it used to be 70km/h. So stupid that they changed it since it will just cause more traffic and not reduce accidents at all. Ive gone up and down that area almost every day since i moved last Oct and have not once seen an accident, so I don't see how this can help.

So i just wanted to warn you guys before they give out tickets to people who still think its a 70 zone

What, really? I didn't notice anything new this morning going south on Bathurst from Carrville to Hwy 7.

As if that stupid new light at Ner Israel and then 2 new ones just north of Carrville weren't enough

Edit: Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu. You're right. On top of that, they changed the limit north of Elgin Mills from 80 to 70 as well as other York region streets. God I hate politicians

omfg, Dufferin street is going to be same too?!? And i forgot that north of Elgin Mills used to be 80, but it made sooo much sense to be an 80 zone, wtf.

Whoever decided on this is probably going to get screwed royally at the next election.

I think it's time I found a new street to commute to work; Bathurst is becoming a christmas tree with a light every 200 metres. I'm so glad I take New Westminister to Steeles. Saves me a good 20+ minutes each morning/afternoon.

They did that last year on 16th from Woodbine to Markham Rd.
It used to be 70 and was dropped to 60 as of last fall.
All the areas which used to be wide open fields which are now new development are being all changed.

Thanks for the heads up cloakster! It's so sad... I remember when I first moved into the area it was all wide open without a lot of lights and traffic. I use to look forward to crossing west past Bathurst cause all the limits were higher.
